Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 27 May 2026

These terms govern the sale of goods through NutJob, the online quoting and ordering service operated by Woodstock Industrial Supplies Limited ("we", "us", "our"). By placing an order through NutJob you agree to these terms.

1. About us

Woodstock Industrial Supplies Limited is a company registered in England and Wales.

2. Placing an order

You place an order by interacting with NutJob, confirming the quoted line items, and proceeding through secure checkout. We accept card payments processed by Stripe.

When you complete checkout, we will send confirmation that we have received your order. This confirmation is not acceptance of your order. A binding contract between us is formed only when we send you an invoice or dispatch the goods, whichever happens first.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order before acceptance. This may happen if:

If we decline your order after payment has been taken, we will refund you in full.

3. Price and payment

All prices shown in NutJob are in pounds sterling and include VAT at 20% unless explicitly stated otherwise. The price shown in your quote is the price you pay.

We make every reasonable effort to keep prices accurate, but we reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notice. Where we discover a pricing error after you have placed an order but before we accept it, we will contact you with the correct price; you may then either confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it.

Payment is taken at the time of checkout via Stripe. Your card details are handled by Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. Card transactions are secured by industry-standard encryption.

4. Delivery

We deliver to UK mainland addresses only. Due to customs and regulatory complexity following the Windsor Framework, we currently do not supply Northern Ireland through NutJob. We also do not deliver to the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands, the European Union, or international destinations.

We aim to dispatch orders within 2 to 3 business days. Estimated delivery dates are given in good faith but are not guaranteed and time of delivery is not of the essence. We will not be liable for any loss arising from late delivery, whether direct or consequential, except where required by law.

We may deliver in instalments. Each instalment is treated as a separate contract under these terms.

If your order is lost or damaged in transit, please notify us as soon as you reasonably can, quoting your order number, so we can investigate with the carrier:

Proof of delivery provided by the carrier will normally be treated as evidence that the goods have been delivered.

If an item is out of stock and we cannot dispatch within a reasonable time, we will contact you with the option to wait or cancel. You may cancel an unshipped order at any time before dispatch.

5. Your right to cancel (consumer customers)

If you are buying as a consumer (not for business purposes), you have the right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

To exercise this right, contact us by email or phone using the details in section 1, clearly stating that you wish to cancel. You must then return the goods to our trading address within 14 days of telling us you wish to cancel, in their original condition and packaging.

We will refund the price of the goods within 14 days of receiving them back, using the same payment method you used to place the order. We may reduce the refund if the goods have been used or damaged in a way that goes beyond what is necessary to establish their nature and function.

You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless they are faulty or were sent in error.

This 14-day right does not apply where the goods have been cut, machined, or manufactured to your specification. NutJob currently supplies stock items only, so in practice this exclusion will rarely apply, but it may apply to future bespoke orders.

This right is in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (see section 6).

6. Quality, warranties and your statutory rights

If you are a consumer, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply in full. In particular, the goods we supply will:

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes those statutory rights. Where any clause of these terms appears to do so, it should be read as not applying to you as a consumer.

If you are a business customer, you acknowledge that you have selected the goods on the basis of your own assessment of their suitability for your intended purpose. Industrial fasteners are functional engineering components and selection is the buyer's responsibility. Where you have specified product attributes (such as thread size, grade, material, or finish), it is your responsibility to confirm those attributes meet your application's requirements.

For business customers, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law:

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

7. Faulty or incorrect goods

If goods arrive faulty, damaged, or are not what you ordered, contact us within a reasonable period after delivery (and within two working days for transit damage, as set out in section 4).

We will, at our option, replace the goods, refund you in full including original delivery charges, or arrange collection and credit. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.

8. Title and risk

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title (ownership) in the goods remains with us until we have received payment in full for them. While Stripe payments are taken at checkout and clear quickly, this clause applies in any case where, for any reason, payment has not been fully received and cleared.

9. AI-assisted quoting

NutJob uses artificial intelligence to interpret your enquiry and identify matching products from our catalogue. While we have taken care to make NutJob accurate, you remain responsible for confirming that the product specified in the final quote is the product you require before completing checkout.

The quote screen shows the full product specification (thread size, length, material, finish, and grade where applicable). Please review these details before confirming your order. We are not liable for orders placed on the basis of incorrect specifications confirmed by you at checkout.

NutJob is intended to assist product selection only. It does not provide engineering, safety-critical, or application-specific design advice. In particular, NutJob must not be relied upon as a source of specification for, including but not limited to: structural, lifting, pressure, marine, rail, brake, aerospace, automotive, or other safety-critical applications. For any such application, you must independently verify the suitability of any fastener with a qualified engineer before use. We accept no liability for the use of fasteners supplied through NutJob in applications for which their suitability has not been independently verified.

10. Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the moment you place your order is the version that applies to that order. The current version is always available at /terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, in which case the courts of your home jurisdiction will also have jurisdiction.

13. Contact

If you have a question about these terms, an order, or anything else, contact us using the details in section 1.
